Episode Overview
During the Miss Sixteen beauty contest, Judge Hardcastle finds himself drawn into the world of car dealer Ed Whitman, who serves as the event’s grand marshal. Concerned about her boyfriend Victor Hernandez's uncle, who has gone missing while trying to cross the border, contestant Melissa Whitman seeks Hardcastle's assistance. Although Victor's uncle is eventually found alive, Hardcastle is determined to uncover the truth. With Victor's hesitant cooperation, they learn that a murder occurred during an illegal immigrant transfer. They also discover that lawyer Antonio Morales, who denies knowing about the murder, has been involved in facilitating these crossings. Just as Hardcastle is about to question Victor's uncle, he is killed. Going undercover as a potential immigrant with Morales’ assistance, Hardcastle successfully dismantles the smuggling operation, only to reveal that Ed Whitman is the true mastermind. After returning to the U.S., Hardcastle and McCormick aid the police in capturing Whitman. Meanwhile, Melissa loses the pageant
