A raging wildfire obstructs the route to a nearby hospital. Kimball, who has been working as a farmhand, chooses to jeopardize his anonymity by assisting in the delivery of a baby at the labor camp. When the media catches wind of Kimball's selfless deed, Gerard learns about it and starts to suspect that Kimball is the elusive doctor behind the heroic act.
