In his escape to Mexico, Kimble unexpectedly contracts pneumonia and finds himself at a local hospital, where he is recognized by Dr. Howell, an ambitious American researching meningitis. After Kimble's recovery, Howell coerces him into aiding his research, promising protection from the local authorities. While collaborating with Howell's charming assistant, Reina Morales, Kimble uncovers a disturbing truth: several patients are being unknowingly infected and exploited for Howell's experiments. Meanwhile, determined police sergeant Rodriguez is hot on Kimble's trail, investigating his real identity.
