With summer vacation in full swing, Allison catches her parents off guard by bringing home Doug (guest-star Timm Sharp). As Allison and Doug relish their carefree days together, Steph encourages Eddie to join the fun. Meanwhile, Jeff and Joy can’t help but feel sidelined and irritated by their partners' joy. Eventually, they’re convinced to join the group and make the most of the season.
