Episode Overview
Jake and Jo spot the Carters arriving at the cabin with Emily and the baby. While Jake calls the police, Jo defies his orders and approaches the Carters, leading to Mr. Carter shooting her in the back. Later, Mrs. Carter sneaks into Jo's hospital room at night, threatening to kill Austin unless she regains custody. The judge revokes the previous custody agreement and endorses Jo's proposal for the baby to be put up for adoption. Meanwhile, Amanda gets fired after testing positive for drugs. She and Matt uncover that Peter prescribed her pills containing marijuana's active ingredient, but when she confronts him, Peter knocks her out, intending to kill her during surgery. Michael intervenes, disarming Peter and breaking his nose. Michael and Amanda crash a D&D meeting where Caitlin is about to be named president, successfully undermining her. Additionally, Alison stops Terry from drinking following his playoff loss, and he thanks her for it.
