Episode Overview
Michael and Amanda travel to New York in hopes of enrolling her in a cutting-edge treatment program. However, Kimberly undermines their efforts by contacting the doctor, claiming that Michael has ulterior motives. She also misleads Amanda into believing her illness is terminal. Michael reassures Amanda that Kimberly is not telling the truth and successfully convinces the doctor to accept Amanda as a patient. Surprised by a kiss from Michael, Amanda ultimately ends up sleeping with him. Meanwhile, John threatens Matt and Jo with a gun after they hand over damaging evidence to the authorities. With Amanda away, Billy and Alison struggle to secure a major account. Jane persuades Jake to bring Sydney back, but Syd's happiness fades when she discovers her sister is dating Jake.
