Kimberly returns home to find that Amanda has been staying with her. As Amanda starts to heal from her illness, she enlists Brooke's help to take down Alison. Kimberly attempts to use the $100,000 settlement from the city to keep Michael away from Amanda. He agrees to her terms but later initiates divorce proceedings. In a dark turn, Kimberly overdoses on pills, and Michael chooses not to intervene. Meanwhile, Alison becomes a domineering presence at work, pushing Jo away during a photo shoot. After convincing her father to allow them to use his house, Alison offers Brooke a full-time position. Brooke shares her engagement news but later makes a move on Billy in a restaurant restroom. Jess unexpectedly shows up in Los Angeles, and Jake offers him both a job and a place to stay, while Sydney grows suspicious of Jess's intentions with his brother.
