Sydney, pretending to be Miranda, lingers at the beach house trying to charm Michael. Michael’s memory returns just as he narrowly avoids being hit by a car in a restaurant parking lot, though he keeps this to himself. He leaves Sydney in a compromising position in Jane's bedroom, leading to a cheeky comment from Chris. Later, Michael confronts Kimberly, challenging her to kill him, but she realizes her love for him prevents her from going through with it. Meanwhile, Billy and Alison continuously argue at work. Jo tries to make peace with the Carters, but they mock her instead. Palmer confides in Amanda that he can’t go to jail until he pays off some debts, fearing for her safety. He leads her to a secret safe deposit box, convincing her to withdraw $500,000. On a boat, Palmer holds Jake at gunpoint, revealing plans to escape to Mexico with Brittany. However, Brittany betrays Palmer and shoots him in the back.
