Billy's relentless competitive nature and obnoxious antics continue to frustrate Alison. He strikes up a friendship with the arrogant president of a vodka company and manages to take over one of Amanda's accounts. Meanwhile, Alan's parents arrive for the "wedding," blissfully unaware of their son's sexuality, and announce they've bought a house for Alan and Valerie. A heartbroken Matt turns to alcohol and ends up sleeping with his friend Dave. During the wedding, Matt walks out, and Alan chooses not to follow him. Jo finds out that Jane is behind the problems at Richard's show and coerces her into hiring Richard as a consultant. Kimberly starts to exhibit a new, uptight persona named Betsy Jones. Amanda turns down Bobby, prompting him to smash down her apartment door, while Peter ends up getting knocked out in a confrontation with Bobby.
