Peter dismisses Sydney after discovering she sold his house, which was part of the company’s assets, to cover the practice’s debts. As a result, he has to move into Amanda’s apartment. Sydney finds a job at a boutique. Meanwhile, Billy is on a date with Sam but can’t stop thinking about Alison. During the boutique's grand opening, a tipsy Billy blurts out that Alison and Jake are having an affair, prompting an infuriated Jane to kick both of them out. Later, when Jane confronts Alison at her apartment, she accidentally ignites a fire by tripping over oily rags. Kimberly faces the medical board and decides to surrender her license, taking up a role as the receptionist for Burns/Mancini. Taylor meets with Peter and recruits Amanda for the restaurant's advertising. Michael warns Matt about his drug use, but Matt nearly has a heart attack from PCP and ends up arrested for soliciting an undercover officer.
