Despite her objections, a judge facing execution is assigned a protective detail, causing panic for Sully and Ty when she unexpectedly vanishes for a coffee run. Meanwhile, Levine tries an unconventional method to distract a patient from his suffering. When Faith's severe pain remains unexplained, her doctor suggests she see a psychiatrist. Kim is furious after Doc issues her a formal reprimand for ignoring field protocols, despite having done the same in the past. In her quest to escape the streets, Maritza persuades Swersky to help her set up a sting on a chiropractor involved in prostitution, but pays a heavy price for her reckless "lonesome cowboy" tactics.
