Episode Overview

While flying to Nashville for a duet with Emmy Lou Harris, Chris and his crew are unexpectedly forced to make an emergency landing in a remote wheat field. They stumble upon a charming but secluded farmhouse, where they are warmly welcomed by Evie and her husband Del, who immediately recognize Chris. However, a sense of unease creeps in as Chris and the others begin to suspect that Evie and her family may be hiding something and have no intention of helping them return home. As Yola settles into the guest room, she notices Evie's son, Teddy, acting strangely and sneaking up to the attic. Driven by curiosity, she sets out to uncover the truth and is stunned by her findings. Meanwhile, Anson faces a moral quandary. He’s drawn to Evie's daughter, Inger, but struggles to resist her flirtatious advances after promising God he would give up girls if they survived the crash, leaving him in a state of inner conflict.
