Chris agrees to perform the national anthem at an upcoming San Francisco Giants game, but Roly can’t help but remind him of the last time he attempted it, completely messing up the lyrics and missing the high note. The memory fills Chris with embarrassment, yet he’s resolved to conquer his fears and give it another shot. However, the next morning, he wakes up with laryngitis, and his doctor orders him to stop talking and singing. Kenney suspects he’s faking it, but Chris proves to be clever in unexpected ways. Meanwhile, Yola fears she may have offended Nicki Wooster, the new president of Manacle Records, who has a prosthetic leg.
