Episode Overview
A young part-time student begins to experience a severe headache, which quickly develops into flu-like symptoms and then progresses to meningitis. As she starts to hallucinate, doctors uncover a teratoma on her ovary that contains brain cells. Meanwhile, an eight-year-old boy is plagued by stomach pain and vomiting, initially suspected to be food poisoning. However, as he experiences excruciating pain and swelling in his legs, it is revealed that he is battling a condition where the flu virus attacks his muscle cells. A self-employed plumber starts feeling nauseous shortly after taking on night shifts. He attempts to conceal his illness, but soon his writing reveals errors as he begins to misspell words.
