With Lily settling in more permanently, Ted starts to feel like an outsider in his own home, especially with his engaged roommates. Fearing he’ll end up alone and without a place to live, Ted confides in Marshall that he wants the apartment when he and Lily get married. However, Marshall also has his sights set on the space, leading them to resolve the issue in a decidedly immature way — they engage in a sword fight that results in one of them being knocked out.
