A novice stagecoach driver meets a tragic fate, and one of his killers assumes his identity to continue driving the coach. The Lone Ranger and Tonto stumble upon the aftermath and discover that the young man is still alive. They quickly arrange for his medical treatment while keeping his survival a secret. Determined to uncover the truth, the Lone Ranger embarks on a mission to learn the boy's identity and the reason behind the deadly threat against him.
