The Lone Ranger grows uneasy upon learning that John Ames, a recently freed inmate, is heading back to his hometown with plans to seek vengeance on those who falsely accused him of a stagecoach robbery. As news spreads through the town, it quickly becomes apparent that Ames' intended targets are already dead. Things take a turn for the worse when the Lone Ranger finds himself implicated in the murders, accused of helping Ames carry out his deadly intentions, forcing him to unravel the truth behind the unfolding chaos.
