Episode Overview
The episode begins right where season 2 concluded. Jim’s time in Shell's cell quickly turns dark when she brutally stabs him with a shattered bottle. Karen hears his cries and summons all available staff for help. Despite Helen's objections, she insists on driving Nikki back to Larkhall, feeling reassured after learning about the chaos unfolding on the wing. After several failed attempts to reason with Shell, the officers, now clad in riot gear, burst into the cell, overpowering her and rescuing Jim. Shell is then taken to the block. Meanwhile, Helen secretly returns Nikki to her cell unnoticed amid the turmoil. The episode culminates with Jim's lifeless body on a stretcher, Marilyn's desperate screams echoing as Dr. Nicholson struggles to revive him.
