I'll Fly Away (1991)
Overview
Set against the backdrop of the late 1950s and early 1960s South, I'll Fly Away delves into the life of Lilly Harper, portrayed by Regina Taylor, a black housekeeper working for district attorney Forrest Bedford. The show explores Lilly's gradual involvement in the Civil Rights Movement, which ultimately entangles Forrest in the struggle for justice.
