Episode Overview

As time goes by, the social order within the camp begins to deteriorate, and an increasing number of women fall ill. Certain factions refuse to extend help to others, and malaria surfaces for the first time, with pleas for quinine going unanswered. In response, Marion sets up education and entertainment committees while overseeing the transformation of one of the huts into a makeshift sickbay. This boosts morale temporarily, but the atmosphere shifts dramatically when two Japanese secret policemen show up at the camp.
