Episode Overview

Clef informs the girls that each earthquake in Cephiro signifies its impending collapse. If Cephiro falls completely, they will be trapped and unable to return home. To become Magic Knights, they need to awaken their Machines, and Mokona knows how to guide them. Meanwhile, Ferrio spots Ascot plotting against the girls and pretends to offer his assistance. Ascot remains skeptical and orders Ferrio to deliver the girls to him in the desert, hoping a monster will eliminate them. Ferrio eventually leads the girls into the desert, where they are attacked by the monster. Discovering that it can strike using sound, Ferrio uses the orb gifted by Princess Emeraude to distract the creature and draw it away from the girls. A smaller monster then arrives, delivering a message: Ascot has captured Ferrio, and to save him, the girls must venture to the desert. They decide to rest and think it over.
