Episode Overview

As Doc Adams steps into The Long Branch, he interrupts Festus just as he’s about to dive into one of his lengthy tales. Doc recounts the start of his day before preparing for an impending delivery. Soon, he and Festus must attend to an injured outlaw's younger sibling. Festus heads off to fetch Matt, leaving Doc to handle the situation alone. The outlaws are anxious to retrieve their brother, but Doc warns that any movement could be fatal. Matt arrives to find Doc managing, but Festus is gravely injured. Tragically, the outlaw's brother doesn’t survive. Doc works to extract a bullet from a weakened Festus, who ultimately recovers, much to Doc's exasperation!
