Episode Overview

After a serious injury leaves lawman Matt Dillon unable to shoot, he decides to abandon his badge and the town of Dodge, as well as his friends Kitty, Festus, Doc, and Newly. As danger looms, outlaws converge, eager for revenge against him. Meanwhile, a new marshal arrives, who encounters a talented young gunslinger. This young man, however, is resolute in his refusal to harm any living being, even in self-defense. Their unexpected partnership teaches them both that true commitment to their roles sometimes demands more than just marksmanship.
