Episode Overview
In this exciting first installment of a seven-part series, nine couples vie for a variety of prizes, culminating in a grand reward of $1 million. For the first challenge, dubbed the dune buggy drag, three couples compete simultaneously. The men are tethered at the ankles and pulled behind dune buggies racing along the beach. Clinging to a rope, the women hold on as their partners are dragged through the sand. The couple that travels the shortest distance before one of them releases the rope faces elimination. In the second challenge, known as bury spouses' heads in worms, two couples take the stage. One partner’s head is placed in a Plexiglas box with a narrow breathing tube, while the other must collect and spit worms into the box, covering their partner's head. The couple that finishes this task the quickest wins a 22-day travel adventure in Africa, with no one being eliminated in this round. The third stunt, kayak pull, awaits next.
