The Untouchables (1959)
S01E10 The Dutch Schultz Story
Episode Overview
In March 1935, Dutch Schultz stands as one of New York City's most ruthless mobsters, linked to over a hundred killings. With his hands in various illegal enterprises—from liquor and drugs to labor extortion and protection rackets—he dominates the underworld. However, "Lucky" Luciano is encroaching on his turf. To prevent his clients from switching allegiance, Schultz’s men resort to brutal intimidation. When Joe Floris refuses to pay Schultz's 30% protection fee, claiming he's already giving 15% to Luciano, he suffers a brutal acid attack that leaves him blind. Yet, despite his violent ways, Dutch has a softer side; he just welcomed a new baby with his wife.
