The Untouchables (1959)
S01E23 Three Thousand Suspects
Episode Overview
In September 1932, the Federal Penitentiary in Leavenworth, Kansas, known for housing some of the most dangerous criminals in the country, is home to Nick Segal, a man responsible for six murders but convicted only for violating the Volstead Act. He received a three-year sentence and is now eligible for parole after just one year. During a truck unloading, inmate Gus Caserta "accidentally" drops a heavy bag of potatoes on Nick, nearly killing him, while the scrawny Phil Thorne witnesses the incident. Fortunately, Nick only suffers a broken left arm, but he soon faces disappointing news: his parole request has been denied.
