On April 11, 1932, millionaire contractor Thomas B. Randall finds himself in grave danger during his lavish party. A group of intruders, including the notorious gang leader George "Blackie" Dallas, former hitman Pete Appleby, bank robbery specialist Marty Stoke, and ex-heavyweight boxer Jiggs, infiltrate his estate. They swiftly murder a security guard and take Randall hostage, issuing a chilling warning to his family and guests: if they involve the police, Randall's life will be in jeopardy.
