On the night of April 16, 1931, in New Jersey, Waxey Gordon, the reigning beer king of New York, sets his sights on expanding into the state. He faces off against Frankie Dunn, “Bugs” Donovan, and Roger Weiden, who currently dominate the Jersey beer scene. Determined to take control, Waxey initiates a violent turf war to eliminate his competition. In a brutal display of power, Waxey and his crew storm into Frankie Dunn’s brewery, unleashing gunfire that riddles both the large beer vats and Frankie’s workers with chaos and destruction.
