S03E14 The Silent Partner
Episode Overview
On March 2, 1932, Chicago's hottest venue, the Club Tunisian, thrives under the ownership of gangster Pete Kalik, who transformed it from a modest speakeasy. Agents Ness and Lee Hobson arrive not for the stunning performer Mavis Carroll, but due to an anonymous tip they received earlier. Exhausted and looking forward to his vacation starting Friday, Hobson meets Eddie Paris, the club's comedian who reached out to them. After his act, Eddie discusses a grave concern at the Denton Street wharf, revealing his desire to see Kalik behind bars for his involvement in a major alcohol deal with the enigmatic Partner, who had previously supported Torrio and Capone.
