In October 1932, Chicago is shaken when Carlton Edmunds, the leading reporter for the Globe, is shot. Eliot Ness and his team arrive at the scene shortly after the incident. Initially, it seems that Edmunds fell victim to a stray bullet from a nearby shootout, caught unwittingly in the chaos of the moment.
