Episode Overview

In May 1992, a group of four young men walks into a Houston park, and moments later, one of them is fatally shot in the head. The police manage to find one of the surviving drug dealers, who identifies 17-year-old Nanon Williams as the shooter, with other witnesses corroborating his claim. Nanon ends up on death row, one of over thirty juveniles in that situation in the U.S., yet he maintains his innocence. As his legal team investigates, they discover a significant mistake: the bullet that killed the victim actually came from his co-defendant's gun, who served only four years. Despite this revelation, prosecutors refuse to overturn Nanon's conviction, even as he strives to demonstrate his personal growth while incarcerated.
