Episode Overview

Tyreese Gamon is gunned down in broad daylight on a city street, becoming one of the many murder victims in Philadelphia that year. With a target on him due to his upcoming testimony in a murder case, the investigation leads police to a suspected hitman named Donte Thomas. Although Donte has a troubled history, he maintains his innocence. Nevertheless, the prosecution convinces a jury to hand him a death sentence. Years later, Donte’s appeals lawyer uncovers flaws in the initial trial, including issues with the phone used to plan the hit and the previous attorney’s failure to introduce critical evidence.
