Episode Overview
Title: The Vanishing Broomsticks Plot: Broomsticks have been mysteriously disappearing from the neighborhood, prompting a thorough investigation by the local police. Sam, fearing he might be in trouble over his unpaid car registration, is bewildered when he realizes the true culprit is Catweazle, who has been pilfering the broomsticks in an attempt to return to his own era. While the police suspect witchcraft rather than Sam's vehicle issue, Carrott seeks Catweazle’s assistance. Initially reluctant, Catweazle is persuaded when Carrott dangles the prospect of free food. After some negotiation, Catweazle agrees, and they hatch a plan involving a message delivered via a bow and arrow to the police, which accidentally breaks a closed window instead. The note invites the officers to the graveyard to unveil the true thief.
