Episode Overview

While trying to halt an armed robbery at the Aidensfield's Arms, Nick is struck on the head and finds himself trapped in the cellar alongside George and Claude. As the night progresses, a tipsy Greengrass begins to divulge information about various local crimes. Come morning, they are rescued with Claude's assistance. Nick's investigation leads him to a suspect named Robinson, notorious for his past robberies. At Robinson’s home, his wife Nell and her daughters claim he has abandoned them, but it’s revealed he actually died of a heart attack during a heist and was buried on the moors to maintain his benefits. As Nell is interrogated, another robbery occurs, exposing her and her daughters as the culprits. Meanwhile, Nick surprises Claude by acknowledging his contributions to solving the crimes.
