Episode Overview
A man has been shot on the moors, and Ruxby, who was nearby during the incident, quickly becomes a suspect. However, it’s revealed that he was just hunting rabbits. Meanwhile, one of Maggie's patients hires a new butler, but Eileen grows suspicious when several items go missing. Other thefts come to light, including a pool table that ends up in Claude's possession. Gina is excited to discover she’s now the pub’s licensee, but feels that Steve is overstepping his bounds. Greengrass sets up a betting scheme for a pool game. Eventually, it’s uncovered that the butler has been using multiple false identities and is behind the shooting and the thefts. Nick informs Claude that the pool table is stolen, leading to its removal. Claude finds a replacement, only to discover it’s a snooker table with pockets too small for the balls! To everyone's surprise, Maggie's husband arrives in Ashfordly.
