Episode Overview
It's finally Nick and Jo's wedding day! The episode kicks off with Nick's stag do, where Claude gifts him some extremely strong wine, while Blaketon surprises him with a questionable garden ornament. The following day, Nick sets out for a drive but soon has to intervene in a road accident. A distraught girlfriend, upset over her boyfriend's marriage revelation, panics and steals Nick's car to escape. Stranded, Nick races to find help for the injured man. Meanwhile, back at the police station, Phil and Alf are starting to worry about Nick’s delay. After a frantic phone call to Phil explaining the situation, Nick rushes to the church. In the meantime, Blaketon is heartbroken to learn he has failed his medical exam and must retire. The wedding ceremony is beautiful, with Katie and Maggie as bridesmaids. Nick’s grandfather is irked that Greengrass is selling jellied eels to his own relatives, while Phil frets over his speech.
