Buffalo Airlines is facing its busiest winter season yet, deploying the C-46, TXW, to transport cargo across the Mackenzie Valley. However, when an engine fire erupts in TXW, the team races against the clock to secure a backup aircraft for the crucial Christmas deliveries. They turn to their recently acquired Electra, XFC, only to find it has a shattered windshield, making it unfit for flight. Joe, Brian, and Cory head to Red Deer to pick up a replacement. Upon arrival, Joe shares his ambitious plan to resurrect the dormant Electra ZFE, buried in snow, to take over XFC's duties. Rod is frustrated by the lack of communication and vents to Mikey about Joe's hasty decision-making. Meanwhile, in Yellowknife, the new rampie, Prefkar Mony, an eager young pilot from India, aspires to pilot Joe’s aircraft but must first acclimate to Northern
