Wagon Train (1957)

Episode Overview

Flint encounters Chris Hale on the vast prairie, where Hale is reeling from the recent slaughter of his family by a Native American tribe. Flint urges him to join the wagon train, but the situation is complicated by the arrival of a new wagonmaster, Jud Benedict. Benedict is a merciless tyrant who prioritizes speed over everything else, showing little regard for those who fall behind or even perish along the journey. He has enlisted ruthless gunmen to enforce his harsh methods, intimidating anyone who dares to challenge him. Although Hale has previous experience as a wagonmaster, he has no desire to take on that role again. Nonetheless, the other travelers look to him for leadership against Benedict's tyranny.
