Wagon Train (1957)

Episode Overview

Bill Hawks is guiding a caravan of four wagons toward California when they encounter Tiburcio Mendez and his gang of outlaws, who insist they must retreat. Mendez argues that California rightfully belongs to him and his people, claiming it was unjustly taken by settlers. A judge traveling with Hawks thinks Mendez has a valid point that should be brought before the legislature in Sacramento. Ignoring Hawks' cautions, the judge ventures into Mendez's camp to discuss the matter. When Hawks tries to follow him, both he and the judge are captured.
