Episode Overview

The Santee family—Will, his mother, and his younger sister—join the wagon train using a different last name. They've been driven from several towns due to a horrific act committed by a relative. They share their secret with Hale, Hawks, and Charlie, who promise to keep it hidden from the other travelers. However, the truth eventually surfaces, creating tension when Will develops feelings for a young woman in the wagon train.
