On his journey to Washburn to collect much-anticipated mail for the wagon train, Cooper Smith unexpectedly encounters a stagecoach being robbed. The prim Miss Barbara Lindquist, en route to meet her fiancé, mistakenly identifies Coop as one of the criminals and insists he assist her. Their adventure takes a turn when Coop gets injured, leaving both him and Barbara to navigate back to the wagon train for assistance. Fearing that his injury might end his career as a scout, Coop finds himself developing feelings for Barbara, who reciprocates. But can their newfound love endure the challenges ahead?
