Tom is furious when he finds red paint splattered on the war memorial just two days ahead of Remembrance Day, prompting him to forgo his day off to track down the vandal. Meanwhile, Keith Purvis visits to pay a traffic ticket that turns out to be a scam, indicating a phony cop might be operating nearby. While interviewing a suspect in the vandalism case, Tom encounters an old colleague from NSW, recently forced into retirement due to corruption suspicions, raising doubts about his integrity. An enraged driver then reports a “road rage” incident involving a reckless young driver, leading Tom to suspect a connection between these events. Dash also meets an old friend, Rosie, who has just punched Adam for trying to intervene in a darts game brawl at the Imperial.
