Mt. Thomas is buzzing with excitement as film producers Rip and Jake Vaughan arrive to shoot a movie about the town’s infamous bushranger, Starvation O'Flynn, from the 1880s. Meanwhile, local Don Sparrow is hard at work on a commercial for Keith Purvis’s new bulldozer, "Big Rodney," but it hasn’t captured the town’s imagination like the Vaughans' project. Detective PJ’s instincts kick in when he meets the brothers; he’s immediately wary of them. His suspicions deepen when reports of minor thefts emerge from their filming locations. Could they be hiding a burglary operation? Tensions rise further when Big Rodney is stolen and Don Sparrow mysteriously disappears.
