Episode Overview

Following a brutal attack on an elderly woman, Jack zeroes in on a key suspect lurking near the scene—Troy, a self-assured and despicable criminal who revels in tormenting those around him. With a knack for getting under PJ's skin, Troy is determined to make the investigation as difficult as possible. Lacking solid evidence and with Sally Downie as his legal counsel, the Heelers face a tough challenge in bringing Troy to justice. Their only potential ally is his scared girlfriend, who remains silent out of fear. When a frightened victim succumbs to a heart attack and Troy menaces Maggie, PJ's anger reaches its peak, making him wish he could abandon his badge, even if just temporarily. Tom expresses his serious concerns to Sally about defending a man known for his violent history against women, but she stands her ground, leading to a heated confrontation between them that could mark a turning point in their professional relationship.
