Episode Overview

In Mt. Thomas, the community is divided over a proposed abattoir by the river, with Councillor Chris Riley voicing concerns that fall on deaf ears as locals prioritize job opportunities for their children over environmental issues. The Heelers get involved when a reckless stunt driver crashes a beer delivery, nearly hitting Jack. Meanwhile, Tom's old friend Bob, a retired policeman, starts an organic herb garden, sparking anger from his neighbor who believes Bob is cultivating weeds. If the neighbor sprays his land, it risks contaminating Bob’s crops. Caught between their livelihoods, Tom struggles with loyalty to his friend. Complicating matters, Bob starts dating Tom's girlfriend, Sally Downie, while Tom is baffled when cannabis plants are discovered on Bob’s property.
