Episode Overview

Ben is haunted by nightmares after witnessing the tragic death of a Gothic teenager named Elliot, who seemingly ended his life by stepping into the path of a logging truck. The community struggles to understand his actions, as he exhibited none of the usual signs of suicidal thoughts. In Ben's dreams, he sees his own daughter waiting in the same spot for the truck. Meanwhile, Elliot's father, Jim, views his son as a coward and decides to erase his memory by holding a garage sale for Elliot's belongings. When Elliot's girlfriend, Tina, attempts to reclaim his favorite coat at the sale, a confrontation ensues, drawing in Ben and Jack. Neither Jim nor Tina is willing to discuss Elliot's death. When Elliot's grave is later vandalized, Ben becomes determined to uncover who is responsible. He visits the cemetery, but his search leads to unexpected revelations.
