Caitlin breaks things off with Tom and confides in Charlie about her desire to date him. Their first outing is filled with tension, but they eventually find themselves in bed together. However, they're left questioning if they're prepared for a genuine relationship. Simultaneously, the Mayor brings in a temporary replacement, Pete, to take over Stuart’s duties during his absence, which makes Paul and Carter uneasy as they view him as a potential rival.
