Rawhide (1959)

Episode Overview

Tom Cowan, who lost an arm during the war, had a hospital friend send a letter to his wife, Jenny, falsely claiming he had died. Hesitant but needing salt for his herd, Tom goes back to his hometown. Meanwhile, Sam Butler, the banker, had made a deal with Tom after catching him in a bank robbery. Tom had enlisted using the name of Sam’s son, Will. After a confrontation with the sheriff leaves Tom shot, he is brought back to town. Sam wants to help him escape, while Will reveals the entire truth to Jenny.
