Episode Overview
Rowdy's former commanding officer, Jeff McKeever, is leading a group of rebels who refuse to accept the war's end. They have made off with $50,000, and during their heist, Wish shoots one of the thieves, Decker. Mortally wounded, Decker stumbles into Favor's camp with the strongbox and dies. McKeever, disguised as a deputy sheriff, arrives with Jim Newton to claim the money. Wish immediately recognizes McKeever from the robbery, while Newton manages to flee. Meanwhile, Colonel Reed, the rebel leader, resorts to poisoning steers, shooting one of Favor's men, tainting the water hole, using explosives to stampede the herd, and capturing Hey Soos, all in a bid to force Favor into surrendering the money and McKeever.
