At the age of ten, Lia developed a fascination with her mother's collection of antiques, often accompanying her to estate sales and vintage shops. This experience likely sparked Lia's own issues with hoarding. After her three sons left home and her husband, Ken, dedicated his time to work, her hoarding escalated dramatically. A serious blood infection and difficulty with emergency services made Lia confront the perilous state of her home.
